RIGHT: Boats leaving an– other of the locks on the Gota Canal. There was an unusual dry dock on the canal. It was about 200 feet long and 75 feet wide. The boats enter and are put in place and instead of pumping the water out it is drawn off through an outlet on the bottom at the farther end. Vadstena Castle on the Gota Canal in Sweden.
