The ruins of Pompei. Pompei was destroyed by a fall of ash and when this was cleared away many of the houses stood as they were originally with the exception of the roofs. Many of the houses had rooms that were decorated with paintings on the wall plaster. All in ood condition. LEFT: The ruins of Pompei.
