The Gairmeid[ Dispute A Chara, Braade, Annagry, Local I.T.G.W.U. officials have been quick to condemn the action of the girls of Gairmeid2 Teo. in placing a picket on the Gaoth Dobhair Industrial Estate, but what we did not hear was that it was the lack of Union organisation which forced the girls to take such drastic action. Had the I.T.G.W,U, on the Estate been capable of handling the situation there would be ne:> picket on the Estate and there would be no dang-er of the whole Estate becoming a "graveyard" as stated by Seamus Rodgers in the "Derry People" on Friday 28th January, 1 83. Ruairr 6 h-Eidhin of Udaras also joined in the condemnation of the picket. But where is the condemnation of the despicable management responsible for the injustice suffered by the workers. Why haven't the I.T.g.w.u. (who should get their priorities right) or Udaras been so quick to condemn that management? There should be no place on the Gaoth Dobhair Industrial Estate for companies who tr~at workers like dirt and Udaras na Gaeltachta have a responsibility to workers who fall victim of such companies and their management.
